1. Is Benta's Funeral Home Expensive?

Based on the General Price List that each funeral home is required to display, Benta's Funeral Home service charges are among the most affordable.

2. Is Benta's Funeral Home family owned & operated?

Yes, continuously since 1928.

3. Is the cost of cremation much cheaper than burial?

Cremation is much less expensive than an earth burial. But it also depends on the type of services that a family selects. Direct cremation is the least expensive of all services with no family involvement.

4. How long does the arrangement process take?

Depending on the family's needs, a funeral arrangement can take anywhere from one hour to two hours.

5. How much time can I have my loved one held before I have to either bury or cremate them?

Funeral services are usually scheduled from 3 - 7 days after the person passes away. Once the person is embalmed, the remains are well preserved until the day of the funeral service.

6. Is making pre-paid funeral arrangements advisable even if my loved one is not ill?

Pre-arranged funerals are for the sole comfort that one's funeral wishes will be carried out. It saves the bereaved family a lot of guesswork as to what the deceased may have wanted. People of all ages have established pre-arranged funerals with the funeral home.

7. Are the pre-need arrangement prices locked in?

As we have no control over the rising costs of cemeteries, vendors, etc., we are only able to guarantee the cost of the casket as quoted on the day of the pre-arrangement with a deposit of $500.00 to activate this interest bearing account.

8. If I decide to withdraw or cancel my pre-arrangement, are my monies refundable or transferrable?

Yes, provided it is a revocable pre-arrangement, you are entitled to a refund or transfer to another funeral home of your choice. If it is an irrevocable pre-arrangement (Medicaid recipient), monies are not refundable but are transferable.

9. Once the death has occurred, can I set up a payment plan?

Fortunately, prepayments are accepted only for pre-arranged funerals. Unfortunately, once a death occurs all payments must be made 48 hours prior to the funeral service taking place.

10. Where should the flower arrangements be sent if the service is held at the church?

Floral arrangements can be sent to either the funeral home or the church. Please allow the florist ample time to ensure your delivery is timely.
